Getting & Blame Society Premiere

Atlanta, GA - November, ASG Productions presents:

ASG Productions is proud to announce the premiere screening of its last two projects "Getting" and "Blame Society" at the Fountainhead Lounge in East Atlanta on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 pm.

"Getting" is a series of seven short films in episodic format. The project was conceived and produced by Jamie Wingler of ASG Productions and the Atlanta Screenwriters Group.

"Blame Society" is a half-hour short film shot on DV written and directed by ASG and Atlanta Screenwriters Group Co-President Michael D Friedman.

The "Getting" series featured an experimental production format. The seven short films were written by 7 different writers and directed by 6 different directors, all members of the Atlanta Screenwriters Group. "It was really a departure and challenge for all the writers and directors to get on the same page under the show's format," says Martin Kelley, Co-President of the Atlanta Screenwriters group and one of the writer-directors in the series. The cast includes Alex Collins, Susan Stagg, and Brad Brooks.

"Blame Society" was produced by Carrie Cannon and represented the first effort of ASG Productions. The project features the talents of local Atlanta actors Dan Caudill, Melissa DaPonte, and Dave Carr among others. Music by Atlanta's own Lord Jim is prominently featured on the soundtrack. "The idea came about as a way for our writers to get their feet wet with the filmmaking experience and to actually draw some attention to the Atlanta Screenwriters Group."
