25th Anniversary Atlanta Film and Video Festival

Atlanta, GA - ASG Productions latest project, "Boy@nt!," has been selected to screen at the upcoming Atlanta Film and Video Festival. This years festival, to be held June 8 - June 16, marks the 25th Anniversary year for the annual event. The schedule for screening has not been released.
"Boy@nt!" is mockumentary of a boy band that satirizes the music industry. The comedic project was written and directed by Martin Kelley of ASG Productions and the Atlanta Screenwriters Group. Richard Etchison ("The Unreliable Narrator") shared director duties while Jamie Wingler ("Getting: the Series") produced the project.
Boy@nt!'s cast features several talented members of the popular Yahoo! online club, Acting in Atlanta, including: Kevin Harry, Robert Owen, Adam Holder and Melissa DaPonte to name a few. Other members of the Atlanta Screenwriters Group are featured in the cast and crew as well: Spencer Stephens (Unit Production Manager), Susan Stagg (Script Supervisor), and Ted Westby (Assistant Director).
"We are thrilled to be in the festival this year," says Martin Kelley. "We set our goal to premiere here in Atlanta and are very thankful that we are getting that opportunity."
"I think it's great when you put a good cast and crew together and have them fight through a little adversity and in the end get the work recognized. It makes the hard work worth it," says Jamie Wingler.
"It was more fun than work most of the time, and I'm glad to be a part of the festival for the first time," Richard Etchison said of the news, "It's exciting to premiere the film here in our home town."
ABOUT BOY@NT!: "Boy@nt!," an ASG Production, stars Richard Etchison, Michael D Friedman, Derek S. Bauman, David Mitchell Jr., and Martin Kelley. The short film features original songs written by Martin Kelley and produced by Legendary of Reign of Terror. Joey Baldwin served as director of photography and Derek S. Bauman edited the film. Shooting took place in December of 2000 and post-production was completed in March.
