About the Project
The "Getting" series was conceived and produced by Jamie S. Wingler as a way of helping members of the Atlanta Screenwriters Group gain experience at creating films.

In all, seven writers and six directors helped to craft the series from idea to completion. The process came together nicely, with the characters growing throughout the series to combine for one coherent piece. In addition, the episodes each work independently of each other.

The story centers around Shawn Getting (Alex Collins), a former college baseball star stricken with cancer. After making a nearly complete recovery, Shawn and his father (Brad Brooks) move to a small town in the northeast to begin life anew. As the two struggle to rebuild their lives, they unexpectedly have to deal with Treena Branch (Susan Stagg), their often annoying, always naive neighbor.

The series has been submitted the series to several festivals, after which they will debut online. Stay tuned for more details as the project proceeds.
