Script Links

There's a tremdous wealth of information available on line. In this section, I hope to sort out some of the more useful sites that are available on the web today.

The Big One

Writers Guild of America
You need to visit this site often. Not only does it have interviews and articles, but they also have a complete list of agents. The WGA also provides script registration services. Also visit WGA, East.

Local Filmmaking Resources

CinemATL Magazine
A web magazine dedicated to covering filmmaking & video projects in Atlanta and the Southeast. The magazine is written and produced by many of ASG's members.

IMAGE Film & Video Center
"The IMAGE mission is to build and support a strong independent media arts community in Atlanta and the Southeast by promoting the production, exhibition and public awareness of film and video as artistic forms of individual expression."

AtlantaFilms.com
Provides great resources for filmmakers in the Southeast region. Check out their forum for some great insight and opportunities, a great chance to network with others in the Atlanta film industry.

SE Film Association
Committed to helping filmmakers network. Although based in the Southeast, SE Film Association has members from all over the world.

Screenwriting Information

Mark's Screenwriting Page
It's a little slow loading, but Mark's page has a tremendous amount of useful links. If you have a slow modem, I suggest turning off images before entering. Also make sure to check out his screenwriters chats every Tuesday night at 9:00 Eastern/8:00 Central.

Absolute Write
Everything writer related, not just screenplays. Great resources for every kind of writing you can image, along with articles and interviews from and about writers.

Screaming in the Celluloid Jungle
A very complete site that has been newly redesigned to be even better. Info on script sales, prodco and agent information, software, industry news and much more. About as complete of a site as you can get on screenwriting. Also available (for $20) is the Jungle Survival Guide e-book.

Screenwriters Utopia
A great site with a ton of information, including articles by proffesionals and and interviews with screenwriter. It also has links to chat rooms and message boards.

THIRD MILLENNIUM entertainment
Plenty of links and info for all your screenwriting needs. (screenwriting/film/comics)

Internet Screenwriters Network
Info and articles, but a unique feature is their Dealmaking Desks. You need to be a member to use them, but they are a unique way to contact producers and directors. I'm not a member myself, so if you have any input, I'd like to hear it.

Message Boards

misc.writing.screenplays
If you can get past the sarcasm, this is one of the best places to get info on how to market and sell your script. Don't ask about formatting, though! You might need to ask your ISP to pick up this USENET group.

The WWWscreenwriters Home
A good message board for discussion with fellow writers. Often discusses the current movies.

Hollywood Info.

Boxoffice Online: Films in the Works
What it sounds like. Info on films in the works.

Done Deal
Find out what's hot in Hollywood with this list of recently sold scripts.

Film Threat Online
